The
Church
Building
As the picture on the front of this web shows the church is a small pre-fabricated building of two storeys. It is admirably suited to our present size of congregation and activities. Besides the church auditorium there are a kitchen and vestry on the ground floor, two smaller rooms and a large room upstairs with toilets
upstairs and down.
We do experience vandalism which makes it hard to keep the building looking as attr5cative as we would like to
In the longer term there is space on the present site for a larger building.
In the meantime this is used as parking space.
The Manse
24 Blackdown Crescent
is a typical Leigh Park ex-council house built in the 1950’s. The house is a brick built semi-detached one in the corner of a small green situated in a fairly quiet area. The church building is 5 minutes walk and the Greywell shopping centre and
bus stops are only 2 minutes walk away. It has three bedrooms 2 double bed sized and one smaller one. Down stairs is a good sized kitchen, a dining room and a lounge. Being a corner plot it has a reasonable sized rear garden which is all laid to lawn for ease of maintenance and a small
front garden. Outside there is a useful out-house and loo. It has recently been rewired and has new gas central heating. The current tenants are undertaking some re-decoration. We have paid off a lump sum recently to reduce the mortgage.
